On December 15, 2011 by Vas

SOPA is stinker of an act does absolutely nothing to improve intellectual protections for low-income artists.  It does however completely obliterate what little is left of the “fair use” clause.  It is also a danger to First Amendment rights, and it makes it easier for government to decide what website content is appropriate for general consumption.  Worse yet, SOPA potentially increases the the threat of unreasonable searches without a warrant and punishment without a fair trial.

Here is the full text of SOPA.  Read it, and call your State Representatives. This needs to be stopped.
